BSF (Brutal,Silly,Filthy)

This is second time i am writing about Army.As an Indian I obviously salute the military and other defence personnels who are guarding the nation across the borders. But recently we heard about a silly and shameful act of BSF Jawans near the Indo-Bangla border.

After looking at that video one can understand how cruel are those Jawans. They don't have any respect towards Humanity. No doubt the duty of Border security forces is to protect the nation from any kind of infiltration and invasion as well. But humiliating a unarmed and civilian cannot be supported. However the eight BSF jawans were identified and suspended from the services.

The jawans not only stripped the Bangladeshi national, they also beaten him up and tortured. One of them, obviously, was busy in recording that 'activity'.We are not supporting the victim as he in filtered into Indian territory illegally. But the way he was treated is in human. No body will support such treatment. The Jawans must have to report the higher authorities.BSF jawans unnecessarily tortured the Bangladeshi national. This not only tarnished the image of Indian Army but also raises doubts over the deaths near borders.By stripping a person and beating in a brutal way now BSF jawans also stood by side of American Marines who are well know for their torturing acts.Specially in many hidden Jails American Marines torture the jail mates mercilessly. But fortunately the Border Security force authorities announced that the incident will be probed and strict action will be taken.

Government vs Army

Its a tale of two countries, two governments, two Generals and very much similar two problems..these countries are neighbours and Nuclear capable...
In any country the Government and Army are the two major institutions of power. In fact they are the main power centres of any country. In our country the Army and our democratically elected government show a great understanding. But for some days there are some misunderstandings between Military chief Gen.VK singh and the central government. The misunderstanding is about the date of birth of Army chief. If we look at the version of Gen. singh he says that his date of birth is May 10, 1951.Where as the government says that the actual DoB is May10, 1950. If the version of government is assumed correct then general Singh has to retire in May this year.

But if the General's version is right then he can serve as an Army Chief for more one year. This rift of DoB emerged and came into light recently when Gen. VK singh's tenure neared to end.Gen.Singh moved to Supreme court against this 'misunderstanding' of Central government. This is the first time when when an Army chief aproached apex court against Centre.

This is the case in India. If we look into the political developments in our neighbouring country Pakistan there are many similarities. In Pakistan we have seen that government and its Army stood opposite to each other on the issue of a 'Secret Memo'. This memo became a Scandal and got the name 'Memogate'. As a nearest neighbour India is more expressed concerns on the developments in pakistan.

Pakistan's Prime minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and President Zardari with other cabinet colleagues recently had a meeting with Pak Army chief Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. The political leadership of Pakistan clarified the doubts of Army chief about the Secret Memo. Actually the Memo gate involved the United States as a third partry.Political leadership tried to impress the Army with good will gesture. In the case of Pakistan it is a historic fact that the democracy lied fragile.Where as in the case of India the Army-Government row is of domestic nature and no other country is in no way involved. Here Supreme power is democracy and in Pakistan democracy is on the mercy of Army.

But interestingly these two Nuclear capable neighbours are facing  the similar problem i.e.,rift between Government and Army....We hope, on both sides the problem will be resolved very soon....Long live Democracy.....

Krishna's Crush...

Our 'honourable' external affairs minister SM Krishna recently visited a most controversial part of the earth. He felt extraordinarily 'honoured' and Impressed a lot by the gesture.Yes, he visited Israel and astonished by the opportunistic respect of Israeli leaders, Krishna told that Israel is the 'Natural ally' of India.By what means Israel is India's natural ally only Krishna can explain.

Neither Israel geographically close to India nor in any aspect it is similar to India and Indian society.Ours is a Pluralistic society and Israel is strongly against such societies. But in view of 'External Affairs' minister Krishna Israel is the 'Natural Ally'.

India signed many MoUs with Israel in defence and communication sector.Though he also visited other Arab countries but the News maker was his Israel's visit. Before 1990s India won't support Israel. But our Beleaguered late prime minister PVN Rao started diplomatic ties with Israel, opposing our years old non aligned policy. For the last fifty years India supported Palestine and Palestinian cause.

But against the sentiments of Indian Muslims the Indian government is now romancing with Israel.Israel is not accepted diplomatically by many countries. And such a big democracy India is strengthening its ties with an 'illegal state' Israel. Israel came into existence by a unlawfully acquiring the lands of Palestinians.Israel tops the list of countries for the breach of International laws. With such 'country' India is flirting.

We as Indians will never accept that Israel is our 'Natural ally'.The government of India should have to rethink about its stance on Israel.Government should not try to mess with the sentiments of Muslim community. No doubt Israel is far ahead in technology and they are ready to provide precious training to indians in many sectors but still Israel is the country which violates the International human rights laws. There is lot to say about this 'Unnatural Comment' passed by our External affairs minister. The buck never stops as it started now.....

Cold Weather-Hot Politics

The whole northern belt is experiencing severely cold weather conditions. For last one month the weather conditions in north india including Capital city Delhi is not normal.Recently due to heavy snow fall in Kashmir, affected the already bad atmosphere. In many states like Panjab, Haryana, and North UP the temperature gone below ten degree Celsius. And visibility due to snow fell to very low level.

Now after a rain fall in Haryana and New Delhi it seems there is a relief from cold weather. But contrarily the Political weather is so hot for last two months in many of the northern states. After the announcement of dates and schedule for the polls in five states the political heat increased.

Presently the Election Commision's order to drape the Mayawati's election symbol Elephant and her statues is making the news.Different political leaders and parties responded to this decision differently.some say that this is irrational and some opine it a not wise decision.Where as the process of covering the statues of Mayawati and elephants has been started.

Five states of north India are going to witness a massive campaigning and election process from the end of January. So the weather is cool in north india but the politics are hot.During this shivering cold wave the political leaders of different political parties are changing their mind and parties as well. The ruling BSP in UP have recently scrapped its tainted ministers and leaders.

Among them Kushwaha made a news when picked up by BJP. Though he 'offered' to quit the Bhajpa after receiving severe opposition from sangh leaders and senior BJP leaders. In other states like Panjab the political equations are frequently changing. On the other hand the Rajasthan's ruling Congress government is under the criticism due to the 'Bhanwari' case.
Thought the Gehlot government sacked the 'tainted' and accused minister Mahipal Maderna and a MLA Malkhan singh the case is haunting congress party in Rajasthan. But the weather is cold and many places in north india witness snow fall. The weather is relatively cold and the politics on high.Due to the coldest weather many homeless are dying and due to the hot political weather many leaders are feeling the heat of extinction and many are trying to be recognised.

Victimising and Compensating

In many cases, some police and government official false fully involve the innocent people and their lives become a tragic story of victimisation.Generally it happens when some 'promotion seeking' and inefficient police and intelligence officials try to show their 'ability' in solving problems. In case of Macca masjid blast case happened the same.On May 18, 2007 the blast occurred at Makka masjid of hyderabad. At least five people died due to the powerful explosion during the friday prayer and few injured. The muslims who were panicked due to the blast came outside shouting only to face the police firing. In that time of chaos the police officers deployed near makka masjid opene fire.In police firing many innocent people died and police targeted the people who were trying to shift the injured in the firing. That was the very brutal and real face of the police who want to 'quell' the 'mob'.

These were the happenings of the bomb and its immediate aftermath. But later begins the real show of police and intelligence officials.Police on the next day claimed to have traced the bombers and announced the name of 'shahid bilal'. Who is he nobody know till now.Police arrested as many as hundred Muslim youth from city accusing them of having planned for blast. How in-logical!

Can a person blast his worshipping cite and his fellow brothers? But police accused Muslim youth for the blast. Later it was proved that the bomb was carried out by some actual 'terror' groups of Sangh.Swami aseemanand was arrested from Haridwar. Later he confessed to his crime and other terror activities across the nation. He also told the court in Hyderabad and Haryana that in majority of terror activities sangh groups are involved.

During these four years the falsely accused Muslim youth incarcerated and tortured to accept their 'crime'. Their studies, career and social life was scrapped. But after a long time torture and abuse of police, the day comes when they were released and all the charges levelled against them proved false in the court of law.State government, which was acting like a silent spectator , now came forward to give the compensation to the innocent Muslim youth.
The NGO's from city who were supporting the freed victims of police, earlier demanded to government that compensation to innocent Muslims should be given from the salaries of police personnel who made them accused and tortured. But ironically the compensation to victims was given from the funds of Waqf. How surprising once again!..

Government earlier assured to give the character certificate to the victims but at the eleventh hour changed its mind and no such certificate was given.
Interestingly many of the invitee state ministers were not present in the ceremony for the distribution of compensation.
But can we consider it a compensation? Many muslim students were dragged in the false cases and their careers spoiled. The educated young muslims were tagged with a 'terrorist'.Unfortunately when police was announcing the names of these victims as prime accused the regional media was creating a hype and it was not missing a singly update. But when the victims were freed and given compensation the 'media' was silent.

In the name of some muslim names the whole community was targeted at mass level.Isn't it?Yes I as a member of muslim community can feel that pain and it is the feeling of every muslim youngster.
