Rapes And Reasons

1.The unlawful compelling of a person through physical force or duress to have sexual intercourse.

2.Any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person.
--------------
The above sentences are the meanings of rape.Yes this issue is now my topic because Andhrapradesh DGP Dinesh Reddy made a 'comment' on this issue. In a Press conference he told that rise in rape cases cannot be attributed to failure of police. He stressed that rape cases are increasing due to the filmsy and fashionable clothes wore by most girls and women are attractive and provoking to the accused. But I say that this cannot be the sole reason.Perhaps the revealing dresses are one of the most strong reason for the increase in such cases but there are some other facts too.

First of all the law.We should have a strong law to protect the women's rights and give them the safety in society. Because naturally the famine gender is prone to assaults.Every religion and every country supports a strong law in favor of women. So we have to think about this issue.

Secondly if there are such strong laws, we should ensure its implementation.
Our society should be aware of the strict laws, that if they try to offend any women they will be punished strongly and promptly. But unfortunately in our country nobody is feared about the law.Though the rule of law prevail in most of our institutions but not strongly. Our law is strong but implementation and execution of accused is having lacunae. On the other hand 'so called' protagonists of human rights oppose the strict and strong laws against any such heinous crime. So we have to teach them first.India being a pluralistic society faces many problems to implement the laws. But on the common grounds we can be united. A Rape victim women can anybody's sister, wife or relative.
After laws there comes culture. What our culture says.what it teaches us.This is very important aspect. We should be aware of our culture and try to protect it.In some sense DGP dinesh reddy is right in his views.Wearings of western culture will definitely invite the rapists and assaulter. We can go through the list of abuses made upon the western women in many European countries.

Naturally women ought to be protected. They should be protected from going out without any strong reason. This is in their nature that they don't want to come out of their homes. But in the name of 'freedom' they come out and be victimized. Going against nature or basic instinct is fatal for any body whether it is women or men.The modern societies are information societies according to the analysts.I suggest all the modern societies to find out the Truth of Living and in my view we can get to the Art of living.

Now Syria

Just like Egyptian army, syrian army is also extensively killing the people of its own country. The difference between two army institutions is , in Egypt people's voice toppled the Hosni's tyrant governance and in case of syria people are still struggling for the freedom of living. In egypt the regime changed but the whole set up of government still continue the same 'rules' of past.

In syria Human rights are violated heavily.Recent killings of civilian and military detractors showed the gruesome situation of syrians under the tyrrant rule of Basharul asad. But syria is now adopting a new strategy of targeting self to manipulate the world view.Just like western countries, syrian rulers allegedly facilitated a double car bomb blast in its higly secured intelligence buildings.Ironically this is the first attack of its kind since the beginning of the uprising in March 2011.

The attack came when a team of observers from Arab league is in the syria to assess the ground realities. The league observers say that they are in syria to assess the facts and condemn such suicide attacks.Where as the opposition Syrian National council said these bombings are mysterious. The national transitional council regretted the attacks allegedly 'orchestrated' by the rulers. This is the earstwhile strategy of western countries to harm self and allege others for the sin.

The same strategy was used in the 9/11 attacks in Newyork and in compensation of two trade towers,US destroyed two countries i.e., Afghanistan and Iraq. But for syria it is not suitable to use such strategy. The unjustice and violation of human rights should be stopped in syria either by debate or by force...

Live From Cairo

The history repeats itself.Yeah! this seems to be truly fit to the situation now on the liberty symbol Tahrir Square. The agitating egyptians are beaten up cruelly and women are dragged by hair mercilessly. This plight of egyptians was in the Hosni mubarak's autocratic regime, but now the supreme military council is doing the same.In fact the egyptian military now is the same which followed the orders of their general 'Hosni mubarak';where as now their General is changed. The army's attitude towards the people is the same like past. And now history is repeating itself.
The egyptians are now protesting against the military's supremacy.Earlier this year the brave egyptians successfully overthrown the thirty years survived tyrrant Hosni, and egyptians now on the way to form a democratically elected government. When the people of egyptians were agitating against the Mubarak regime they were not touched by the military. But now the scene is different and agitators are beaten mercilessly.

The present  chief of Supreme military council is Hussain tantavi, who was the defence minister of Hosni mubarak. After Hosni mubarak the military council is trying to be the supreme power even after the civil government is elected.Whereas the military announced that they will take care of the governance till july 2011, which was rejected by Tahrir agitators.

The tragedy of egyptians is that for a long time they have not experienced the democratic atmosphere in their country and the military too never bothered for the Human rights. The gruesome scenes on the Tahrir Square is the result of long time reluctance to the Human rights.Perhaps this is result of fear that is growing due the dominance of Islamists in ongoing elections in Egypt. On one hand the 'world powers' are saying that islamists are the biggest threat for the democracy, and on the other hand the so called 'seculars' also backing the fears.
Where as the world knows that Islamists were on the frontline in the anti regime agitation in egypt. They positively worked for the democratic society for a long time and also stood in frontline during the Jnuary tahrir square protests. Military's action against Egyptian women and protesters is brutal and inhuman. The global community severely condemns this.

Elections

In fact this is the biggest activity in democracy where in the people involve and cast their votes.During the elections the faith of people in democracy enhances and they become the 'king makers'.For some people it is the time to earn and for some this is a battlefield. At the same time the middlemen's business also flourish. But when the elections are over the dust settles and 'people' who were actively participating in the process of election, vanish. We can only find some gun men and security officials accompanied by political leaders.

The contribution of people in the democracy come to an end with the completion of election.People get the 'complete' definition of democracy 'by the people' and 'of the people' but not for the people.'For the people' is only the elections. The benefits of election and privileges of democracy are not 'for the people'.Why elections is my topic now because many of our indian states are going to have this 'celebration' of voting. In this election activity 'the people' will cast their votes and elect some body as their 'leaders' hoping for the betterment in their lives.

As per the years and decades long custom political leaders of different political parties are wooing and luring the voters with different proclaims. As i am also the part of 'people' i am ready to cast my vote and get the satisfaction of being a part of democracy.Let us see will this democracy becomes 'For the people' this time or will it continue like past sixty years.

Rupee Falls

It seems this is now india's turn to bear the brunt of economic crisis.Though i am not an economist but in the name of 'forthcoming' crisis my employer incurred me loss of increment; and that directly hit my economy. The latest news is indian currency popularly known as Rupee is falling.when this news was flashed in news channels and next day there was a lead story about this, i was wondered.
For me , 'falling' means falling from high position or 'falling' into some body's pocket. But the whole news of 'Rupee Falling' was totally against my imagination. It was about the stocks of Rupee falling due to the recession in industrial production. However i couldn't understand the myth of 'Stock-exchange' yet but faces of people standing out side the Bombay stock exchange were pale.
By looking at their faces, in one of  the pictures in news websites i clearly understood that definitely there is something wrong with Rupee.Any way After the shocking and breaking news of rupee's fall, our troubleshooter Union Finance minister Mr.Pranab mukhorjee told Rajya sabha that India has the power to cope up with this crisis.Whatever it is, i think a common indian never understand the myths of 'Stock' and 'Exchange', because he only have the stock of worries in his life and want to 'exchange' it with happiness.
The common man popularly known as 'Aam Admi' is looking for the day when the plural of 'Rupee' falls into his pocket. The economists and Industrialists must understand the problems of the common man and take steps towards strengthening the Rupee.I feel the present dilapidated situation of Indian currency is because of the anti people and 'Pro corporates' policy of our government. This is happening when implementation of FDI is stopped just some days ago. What would have happened when it would be implemented.....?

Deadly Hospitals

The health sector in Inidia is majorly privatized now .For more than two decades the Superpeciality and multispeciality hospitals have become common in India.where as Public sector hospitals are left in lurch to deliver poor service and negligence.Even governments don't show any interest towards upgrading the public sector hospitals. There are only some research institutes that are working under the supervision of government. The influx of private hospitals and corporate hospitals incurred a lot to the indian population.

The health assurance is one of the guidelines for the democratically elected government towards people in our nation.Btu contrary to this the government policies are made against the people and in favor of corporates. Majority of our population are still unable to bare the heavy charges of health care and treatment. Many go bankrupt after getting treated in any hospital. There are many different corporate hospitals across the nation in different cities.Government allows them to function freely and give the 'service', but never checks how they are benefiting the people.Especially the Fire safety Norms are utterly neglected.Recent fire accident at AMRI Hospital of kolkata showed a grim fact of negligence. This is the most ugly example of negligence and compromising with fire safety. The question here is how such hospitals get the license without strong safety norms.
Though the chief minister of Bengal has announced the cancellation of license and compensation to the kin of victims, but steps should taken to stop such incidents in future. The corporate hospitals fetch a huge income in the name their 'services' but most of the times they fail to deliver the responsible service. In case of AMRI the reckless behavior of hospital staff added to the damage.Preventive measures should be taken before establishing any hospitals. The central and State governments are equally responsible for the loss of many lives in Kolkata. This is the high time for the government to check for the fire safety measures in different Corporate and so called superspeciality hospitals of big cities. Because, if these safety norms are neglected the only victims will be the citizens who pay huge money for their treatment.

Controversy Follows Him..

His name is subrahmanyam swamy but his qualities are quite opposite to the name.He is better known for his controversial statements and activities.Fortunately he is a renowned economist and until very recent he was attached with the Harvard University of United States. This 'Swamy' is making headlines for two controversies.

The first is national issue and the second one is International. The national issue is supreme court's permission for him to become testimony against Home minister P Chidambaram in 2G spectrum case. For this reason he is so happy and some political and media sections are praising him.But on the international stage he brought a very bad name to our nation. He was recently kicked out of the Harvard University's.

The University excluded the subject taught by 'Subrahmanyam swamy'.The reason of this exclusion is 'swamy's ' extremist ideology about a community and a religion. He reached the top level of his controversy by writing an article in Daily News And Analysis about the religion Islam and Muslim community of India. In fact his intention was clear about India;that he wanted to declare it a Hindu State.Swamy's article was published immediate after Mumbai blasts in July 2011.

His article casted suspicion on the whole Muslim community.Ironically he also argued for the disenfranchisement of non hindus in India. But this controversial and 'renowned' economist forgot that the society of India is a Pluralistic. This state cannot be based on one religion.

The democracy is the religion of Indian nationals. In fact after his anti 'Non hindu' article he was criticized from every section of our society  except right wing groups. But now Harvard itself recognized his ideas as controversial and unacceptable.Swamy  told responding to the exclusion from Harvard said that this is a dangerous principle. But i think swamy's ideas are more dangerous for the democracy and a pluralistic society.

Demolition Day

India is a democratic country and the Indian nationals are going to celebrate the Republic day after one month. But the democracy and the republic status of our country was hurt nineteen years back. The demolition of Babri Structure is a blot on our secular identity. India is a country where different people with different religions, casts and culture live together to form a great nation. This is what called as the Unity in diversity. But a very few 'traders of hate' are continuously on the work of divide in the society for a long time. After independence these communal forces gained a high speed. One of the bitter fruits of this 'hatred campaign' is the demolition of Babri masjid in Ayodhya.

The name of Ayodhya means a war free place. The main reason to demolish the Babri masjid was the belief that this is the place of birth of Lord Ram.This theory was extensively propagated among hindu brothers of India. To justify this, many fake documentaries and films made and distributed in lakhs of numbers. After a long time when hatred was deeply inserted, the Rath yatra of BJP leader LK Adwani was the main precursor for the demolition of the structure. Babri masjid, first made a controversial place and then started the smear campaign. At last the hatred worked out. With the demolition of Babri masjid many walls of hatred created. The whole population of our country divided into many different and two major parts. One who supports the demolition and one who is against this hateful activity.Hindu brothers should assess the theory of Ram Janm bhumi once again.Because the people who claimed it to be the place of Lord Ram couldn't get a valid proof in support of their theory. With love and understanding we can prosper and with hate we can only be demolished it seems......

Green(Frisking)Card

United states of America eased its immigration laws.It also eased the procurement of H1B viza at the same time. The bill regarding this was placed in house of representatives of US Senate and passed with thumping majority. Most of the beneficiaries of this 'ease' are 'Indians' and the second most 'benefited' community is from china, as analysts opine.Analysts also say that this is to attract the young and innovative professionals from India and China.

The question is , why this bill (easing the norms of immigrations) was necessitated. Was that so important to be placed in the house of representatives, at the time when the country(US) is on the brink of another economic crisis.Analysts say that US want to take help from a huge market of India to stabilize its down falling economy. So to impress and attract the Indian Experts and leadership it eased the norms of immigration. But we have to keep in mind that this nation located in the west is never a good friend of india. We can count many examples of deceiving by the United states.US never see any country as friends, rather it considers different countries as 'Markets'.Some are great markets ,some are weak markets and such are the categories.India comes under the 'great' category of United state's markets but the US leadership says that " there are many reasons of US-India relationship".

Now, if we talk about the attitude of the US officials and administration at the whole, is disgusting.Recent example is the frisking of our Nuclear Hero and former president of India Dr.Abdul kalam's frisking at an airport in US.So this is the example of United state's respect towards indian 'experts'.And now US is easing its immigration laws and calling the experts from our country. Why should we go to US. Do we really need a green card?.  should we go to US to be frisked or disgusted?..we have to think over it.I think i don't need any insulting card of america. I want to stay in my country.Serving my people with my expertise and my talent....

Police and Policing

I am not talking about any extremist organization or about the members any banned outfit. This is the sad and unfortunate story of 'Law abiding' and lawfully organized group of armed men.In fact this group of powerful men proclaims that they are the protectors of law and saviors of people. Yes, I am here to speak out about Indian Police. They are identified easily with their uniform every where in the country. But the hidden arrogance in them cannot be identified easily. Perhaps people don't want to recognize their personality due to the fear. The responsibility of police is to maintain law and order and protect the people of the country. But it is observed for the last sixty years that they only work to protect the interests of the politicians, richer and fascists.
Recent observations of a bench of supreme court are very important to understand the modus operandi of the police and its anti human officials. In the name of encounter they have gunned down many people without any trial. If this is the case shall we have shut the whole Judiciary business. Police officers, on many occasions act as if they are responsible of delivering justice.

Recent comments of supreme court judges regarding the police's style of work are eye openers. As many departments of our nation require reforms the most famous and irresponsible department of police also need reforms. We have to look at bottom of the establishment of the department.Because the present policing establishment is based on the British act of police that was passed before independence.Gujarat and Andhra pradesh police was trageted by the supreme court for their alleged role in killing many people in the name of encounter. The encounters were proved false or fake recently.

Why this (F)oreignery D.I

The Foreign Direct Investment is perhaps the most popular political news across the nation, whereas in showbiz now a days everybody is listening to "kolavery Di".In both of them FDI is seemed to be over crossing the Kolavery di in popularity.

FDI is debated ( unhealthily) in the both houses of Parliament and discussed, protested, and agitated, out side the parliament across the nation. In fact the businessmen and traders called for All India band and it got tremendous response. This is a very difficult topic to be understood by a common man of our nation. But even then, majority of our population are concerned on placement of a bill regarding FDI.

In house majority of opposition parties are against the FDI and they are supporting the protesting traders across the country.Traders are saying that they will be bankrupted if this is implemented.whereas Bhartiya janata party is raising the issue of Sonia gandhi's foreign origin.BJP leaders are continuously saying that Sonia gandhi is a foreign citizen and thus supporting the investors from outside the country.Where as UPA is insisting that if FDI is implemented the small traders and producers including farmers will be benifited and we can put an end to the 'Dalals' hegemony. But due to this FDI the 'Middlemen' will be hit hard and they are on the frontline of anti FDI protest. The need of the hour is to make people aware of FDI, its process and implementation. For this an experts team can be appointed to clearly define the FDI and then only we can hope that the anti FDI storm in both houses of parliament and in the country can be calmed down.

Media Trends

Indian Media or Press attributes every change and latest trend prevailing in society to itself.Media proudly proclaims that it is a fourth estate and actively participating in the process of nation building. There are many definitions of their(Media and Press) own about the "national interest" and patriotism.Earlier there were state run Media and it was focused on public issues and developmental activities. But later on, after the electronic media revolution many private parties entered into the 'Media Business'.They also started to feel that they are also doing the same as the erstwhile State Media. Things changed with the years and the private media groups started to set the trends of commercializing everything.

We observe that every news channel is in the competition to get the information first and telecast it before any other channel do it. This competition is to reach the viewers with a very latest information. But by doing this they are making their 'Brand' as first in every information. These media groups or News channels are run by businessmen and big investors. They are purely commercial news channels.Their urgency to get the information and to update is not for the viewers but to get the 'brand name' of ''Updated" and "Very Fast".They cash this brand by getting TRP and while getting the commercial adds.

Just like the erstwhile slogan of 'India Shining' the media groups or News channels want to project India as an emerging 'superpower'.To justify this news channels and 'journalists' telecast the news of Cricket acheivings, cultural acheivings(mostly by bollywood) as a whole or most important news. They dont miss a single update from Cricket and cinema industry as if every indian is worried about these two.News channels are creating "Cricket" and "Showbiz Philia" and project it as the voice of indian population.Whereas if we see the ground realities, the majority or indian population is worried to get two time meals a day.Seventy percent of indian population live in villages and they face many problems. The major income source of indian population is agriculture.Thousands of villages of India are still lack raod facility, electricity and drinking water.Recently the hot topic of all the News channels of our country was 'Baby Aishwarya'. Correspondents of different news channels were seen looking for a single update and immediately reporting it.They didn't missed a single update from Aishwarya's admition into the hospital to the delivery of the baby.Do indians really need that information. Is there any justification for this attitude of news channels. This sort of reporting even irked Amithabh bachan,Father in law of Aishwarya. Now the news channels are turned on to the renowned cricketer Yuvraj singh. The news is Yuvraj is battling lung Tumour. No doubt as an ace cricket he needs the emotional support of all the indians. But there are thousands who are dying due to many such diseases because they cannot afford the charges of treatment. who will speak for them.We are deeply sad on linstening the news of Yuvi suffering tumour, but there is a hope that he can afford the charges of operation, hospitalization and treatment. But lakhs of indians become bankrupt after such treatments.Media and News channels should check out their priorities and reform themselves before any law is designed for them....

About Telangana..

This part of a south indian state Andhra pradesh was created with controversy, maintained controversially, and this has becom a prolonged crisis area. The demand for Telangana is as old as its formation. After the fall of Deccan State, a state called Andhra pradesh was formed in 1956, including a part of Madras state Andhra and excluding the northern parts of earstwhile Deccan State. Some people attribute the formation of AP to an unknown person Potti Sriramulu, who died during a fast unto death for the formation of Telugu speaking state. He was volunteered to do fast unto death for this cause;where as after the deccan state was attached with coastal Andhra, there were thousands of people who unwantedly died due to fast. They didnt die because of Fast but because of hunger. During these sixty years the people of telangana were under siege (political, economical, educational,) andhra leaders.Large number of people migrated to Hyderabad and other areas of Telangana and settled here.No doubt they were hardworking but they only were getting the chance to work.Whether it is in organized sector or in unorganized sector, the opportunities for the locals (people of telangana) were concised.

There are many who opine that the people of Telangana are lazy, not hardworking uneducated, less skilled and  what not.My objection is upon which criteria some people can be declared lazy.I think there does not exist criteria. Also we have to look at the opportunities given to the all sections and sectors of the state. For example in srikakulam district of Coastal Andhra there are 74 Degree colleges where as they are merely 34 in Adilabad district of Telangana. This clearly shows the imbalance in opportunities of education among these two regions.Obviously more students get the opportunity to study in Srikakulam than in Adilabad. Then how can anybody blame telangana people for the low literacy levels. This is one of the many inequalities treated upon for a long time. If it is correct that Telanganites are lazy, uneducated, and low skilled, one should remember that the Deccan state was one of the most civilised, well developed, well cultured, dynasty in the world. Also the City hyderabad was one of the most developed, well planned, well designed cities of the world. Anhdra and Rayalseema people should be aware of these historical facts.
A lazy, illiterate and uneducated population can never get the name of well cultured and well developed. The Osmania University was constructed in 1920s and thousands of students are getting knowledge and education from this university for the last eight decades.

Was this university constructed by Andhra of Rayalseeman leaders or by telanagana rulers. We have to keep in mind these facts too.The supporters of United andhrapradesh say that the region of telangana and hyderabad is developed because of their hardwork. But historical facts show that it was already a developed welfare state.Of course the Telangana region was developed after merger, but in terms of discrimination, poverty, and improper distribution of resources and injustice. The facts about telangana will continue to appear on this platform..

Encounters (As understood by Police)

Perhaps this is a very common word known, understood, practiced by some "patriotic" police officers.Encounter is performed in the name of curbing the naxalism, protecting the nation, foiling the bid to escape, and some times "protecting" the lives of political "leaders".
Today am writing these words in the backdrop of a report of special investigation team's latest report of ishrat jeha encounter that is produced before Gujarat high court on 21 Nov 2011.In this report SIT which was probing this case since a long time said that Ishrat jehan and others who were shot dead by Gujarat and mumbai police in 2004 were -Killed-not "encountered".SIT concluded in its report that the four youngsters including Ishrat were killed much before the proclaimed encounter in Ahmedabad.
They were killed in the name of protecting a renowned fascist leader Narendar Modi, "honourable" CM of Gujarat.Ishrat and four others were accused of planning to kill Modi and were gunned down by the responsible and active police officials. One of the charges against the deceased was they were the members of Lashkar e toyeba. After a seven long years it is proved that encounter was fake.My question is, what is encounter.?And we have to define Fake encounter. Is there any such provision in the indian penal code for encounters.I feel that as this encounter was proved fake the charges against the killed will also be declared fake very soon.I hope justice will prevail and responsible citizens of india will definitely accept this truth that "encounters" should be stopped.

Media and Right to Express

In fact both the words used as title are synonyms in many aspects. Freedom of expression is one of the basic rights in India provided by the constitution.Media and Press enjoy this freedom to a large extent and many opine that media is not in a political pressure in India. After sixty years of freedom or independence indian media has grown and expanded a lot. There are many ups and downs in the establishment of fourth estate. Now media or press in India plays an important role in the india politics, trade, foreign policy, internal security and many more. There are many positive things that can be attributed to media groups and press organizations.
But there are many "buts" and "ifs" about media freedom and the use of freedom in this multicultural and pluralistic country India. For many reasons the press in india has lost its credibility and its right to be called a fourth estate. After the privatization of media groups there are plenty of News papers and News channels all over the India. They are all profit based corporates or business entities. These media groups and News channels are in the hands of some corporates. They speak only about their interests and show that brings capital to them. At the same time these corporate media groups also enjoy freedom of expression. They express what they feel is good, whether it is very bad for a section of india population. Such media groups induct the news that help them get revenue. They report only the things that favours their business thrive. This is one kind of "freedom of expression". They only show about beautiful cars, new bikes , latest chocolate brands , mouth wash , furnishings etc ,despite the fact that 40% of indian population is facing hunger and poverty in india is raising.
The other quality of indian media is false and irresponsible reporting. Even this activity is done in the name of freedom of "expression".Indian free media report always in favour of political, trade, sectarian powerful community. They dont speak about the poor, deprived, dilapidated and backward communities of the nation. Now press in india want to take judiciary in its hands by speculatory reportings. They can level all types of charges once a person ( specially if he is from a backward community) and they try to prove a particular person a criminal. Media now feels that it is beyond judiciary. Recently Press council of inidia's chairman Justice markadey katju has raised severe concerns on the behaviour of media and press. He pointed out some major sins of media and press in india. I think that india media is monitored and controlled by a powerful hidden lobby that tries to dominate indian society in every aspect. There is a need to bring  a change in the behaviour and we have to redifine the media freedom.

Uncertainty

Today this word and sufferers of this word are many.Political uncertainty is often a common situation people face globally. More especially in the regions gripped under war or engaged in political change are interacting with this type of uncertainty. There are many reasons for this unpredictable situation.Political uncertainty affects the people at a large level whereas there are many domains which some time show uncertainty.
If we talk about political uncertainty it is more likely in the countries where there is kingship and monarchy. As the world observed many countries face unpredictable condition. But it is also observed that many democratic countries also showed uncertainty in many domains and people suffer.
In case of employee-employer relation this situation prevails.Due to the mis function of an organization unpredictable circumstance is created and employees worry about their future plan.there may exist plenty of reasons for mis functioning of an organization. When a country faces uncertainty it suffers all the domains of the administration and it directly affects the growth of the nation. The political uncertainty must be addressed soon and plan of action should be made. Unfortunately India faces such situation every now and then. Inspite of having a strong democratic setup Indian politics face uncertainty in every decade. It seems there is a need to change a backbone system to run the political system.

Social Networking

I have objections for using this term. It refers generally to the social networking websites like facebook(which never shows the real face of a person) Twitter(people bark in the name of tweeting) and many other like Google+ etc. Netizens who are already addicted to the web world are getting more engaged due to these websites. I think using the term social networking is not appropriate for these web sites. Millions of people are being engaged in tweeting and chating with new friends but they are cut from the social life it seems. there are many groups on the webworld with names like a group for this cause and that. But I think the social life of such people is not so which is generally mentioned in their profiles. This sometimes can be called facebook activism. The word activism encompasses many factors and it is reflected in every aspect of a person. So in my view these social networking sites are shortening the role of a person in the society.Anyhow one cannot ignore the benefits of the webworld activism and social networking sites but benefits are less than the flaws.

Hi everybody, i want to start with the introduction. As my profession is journalism; i will first speak about journalism.I came to know about the journalism when i was in my schooling. But at that stage i didn't know the meaning and function of journalism in the society. After a short journey with this noble(as understood by many) profession i want to share my experiences and my views about journalism and its function. In my very short journey with some media groups i have never understood what exactly is the journalism.Because the practice of people proclaiming to be the pioneers in making this profession a fourth estate in this country, is contradictory.I have seen a very different face of journalism in practice. For many it is a tool of blackmailing and for many this is a paid journalism and PR journalism. From this platform i want to understand what exactly is the function and what is the potential of journalism. At the same time as a student of journalism i want to share my views for a positive and realistic change in the society.
